Cleveland State University ‘bomb threat’ latest – Fenn Tower residence hall evacuated as students urged to avoid area

A BOMB threat has been reported at a Cleveland State University residence hall.
Fenn Tower was evacuated out of “an abundance of caution around 9pm,” read a tweet from the school’s official Twitter account.
Bomb-sniffing dogs, CSU Police, Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire are currently on the scene.
Students and faculty are being advised to avoid the area.
The perimeter of the dorm has been taped off. Traffic heading west on Euclid Avenue has also been blocked off.
A similar threat was reported at CSU Law College on November 4. That case is still open and is being investigated by the CSU detective bureau.
Cleveland State University officials advised students to avoid the area.
"Tonight a bomb threat was received for Fenn Tower, a Cleveland State University residence hall. The building was evacuated out of an abundance of caution around 9 pm," the university said in a statement to .
Bomb sniffing dogs, CSU Police, Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire are currently on the scene. Please avoid the area."
"CAMPUS SAFETY ALERT UPDATE: As of 11:40 pm, police and fire departments have cleared the bomb threat incident at CSU’s Fenn Tower. Normal activities will resume," read a from CSU.
