Candlelit vigil held for Arek Jozwik, who was beaten to death in Harlow ‘for speaking Polish’
Locals gathered to pay respect to Arek Jozwik who was 'murdered' by teenagers at the weekend in possible hate crime attack

DEVASTATED Brits held a vigil last night for the Polish factory worker who was beaten to death.
Hundreds of locals turned out for the memorial at the scene of the attack to show solidarity with Polish community.
Arek Jozwik, 40, was killed after being heard speaking to pals in his native tongue by a mob branded “from the sewers”.
Residents left flowers and tributes at the murder scene as a mark of respect.
A note with flowers left near the murder scene — Stow shopping arcade in Harlow, Essex — read: “Not everyone here is so evil.”
A mum said: “No one wants this. We’re all from the same town.”
Harlow Tory MP Robert Halfon said: “We shouldn’t allow people from the sewers to exploit division and have their own racist agenda."
It is claimed Arek was attacked by more than 20 teens as he ate pizza with two pals in his home town on Saturday. He died on Monday.
An eyewitness said the gang acted like a "pack of hyenas"and had singled out the factory worker due the language he was speaking in.

Cops are investigating if the killing was a hate crime. A dispersal order is in place at the arcade.
Arek’s family said: “We are extremely devastated. Arek was a hard-working man who loved his family.”
Police quizzed five boys, aged 15, and a sixth aged 16, on suspicion of murder and bailed them.
