Jeremy Corbyn grovels to race-hate row MP Ruth Smeeth after his supporters bombarded her with antisemitic abuse and death threats
Cops hunt one Corbynista who called MP “a f*****g traitor”, a “Dyke piece of Yid s***” and said she should “swing” from a gallows

JEREMY Corbyn grovelled to a female Jewish Labour MP yesterday in a bid to distance himself from vile hanging death threats made by his supporters.
The under fire Labour leader rang Stoke-on-Trent North’s Ruth Smeeth to try to commiserate with her ordeal.
As The Sun revealed yesterday, terror cops are hunting a fanatical Corbyn supporter who told Ms Smeeth she is a “a f*****g traitor”, a “Dyke piece of Yid s***” and should “swing” from a gallows.
Despite Mr Corbyn’s call, the 37-year-old new MP stepped up her demand on the Labour leader yesterday to “personally do something”.
Ms Smeeth also revealed she has received 25,000 pieces of abuse since walking out of Mr Corbyn’s anti-Semitism event in June.
The racism campaigner MP insisted to the BBC: “It’s vile, it’s disgusting and it’s done in the name of the leader of the Labour Party, which makes it even worse.
“What I need is for the leader of my party, the leader of Her Majesty’s opposition, to make it clear what can be done.
“He should be naming and shaming some of the worst perpetrators who are doing it in his name, and making it clear publicly that they do not speak for him, that this is unacceptable.”
MPs from across the political divide lined up yesterday to give their support Ms Smeeth.
Tory Andrew Griffiths, a fellow Staffordshire MP, dubbed Ruth “a brave lady” and said: “There is no place in politics for threats like this. I know Ruth Smeeth will not be bullied”.
