I went for coffee and cigar shopping with the Tinder Swindler – but refused another date him after spotting red flags

A WOMAN who went out for coffee with the Tinder Swindler has revealed she refused another date with him after spotting a number of red flags.

Valeria Calpanchay, went out with Simon Leviev, the 31-year-old conman while she lived in Munich, Germany, and said she noticed straight away his odd behaviour.

She admitted not having "any serious suspicions" at the time.

But she was left in shock when she read an article about the Tinder Swindler and later watched the hit Netflix documentary.

She told the : "Our date was very spontaneous, and happened a day after we matched. I had just finished work and he texted saying if I was free to meet up. I think he sent a voice message."

"My first thought was 'millionaires are not flashing their money on Tinder.. because they don't need to'. So I was curious to see what he was actually like."

She described him as a "talkative guy" and said he appeared as if "he wanted to give the impression that he was "mysterious".

Valeria said she met the conman on Tinder and she thought "it'd be nice to meet up" as "he seemed good looking and that he travelled a lot".

She said that Leviev "immediately" asked for her WhatsApp number, and they arranged their date shortly afterwards.

She added that there was "nothing too concerning" about their date but she still was "not sure if he was genuine or not".

She recalled: "I remember we sat for five minutes and then he suggested we go to another place because he didn't like the menu.

"Then I went to a fancy cigar store with him because he wanted to smoke one. After that we went into a mall, where we finally sat at a café, which seemed like an expensive place as well."

She said that other red flags were that he refused to tell her where he is from, that he had two phones and took a couple of phone calls during the date.

She added: "It was also weird that he would talk about other girls, saying that they always sent him photos, he even showed me some. I wouldn't trust someone who shows other girls private photos".

Recalling their interaction, which took place a few years ago, she said Leviev messaged her inviting her to a party at his home.

She said: "It was already very late and I was in my pyjamas, so of course, I didn't feel like going. We had a little conversation via WhatsApp but I really didn't feel like going so he said something like 'I thought you were more spontaneous than that'."

Leviev allegedly conned women out of thousands of pounds pretending to be the billionaire son of a diamond tycoon.

Following the release of the Netflix documentary, shameless convicted conman posted a defence of himself and criticised the women he scammed.

“If I was a fraud why would I act on Netflix I mean they should have arrested me when we were still shooting,” he wrote.

“It’s high time the ladies start saying the truth. If you can’t give them the world they’ll turn yours to hell.”

The 31-year-old, who has denied being a fraudster, is now based in Tel Aviv while flitting around the world in private jets and driving supercars, and has been enjoying dates with Vogue model Kate Konlin.
