Deluded theory dreamt up by flat-earth fan spreads online as Burke Ramsey tells his story
A WARPED conspiracy theory is being spread online that suggests murdered tot JonBenet Ramsey is actually alive -- and has grown up to become popstar Katy Perry.
The sick tale first emerged in 2014 when crackpot theorist Dave Johnson posted a video on the internet that claimed to "prove" the I Kissed a Girl singer, 31, is the dead girl.
It has since resurfaced as the grim story of beauty queen JonBenet's death is back in the headlines.
Her brother broke his 20 years of silence this week to appear in a series of three TV interviews.
JonBenet was found dead in the basement of her home in Boulder, Colorado in 1996 -- and the case has remained unsolved ever since.
Suspicion immediately focused on the girl’s parents John and Patsy, as well as brother Burke, now 29, however the family has always maintained their innocence.
But now desperate theories suggesting JonBenet's death was a hoax are appearing in videos posted on YouTube.
The original 2014 clip by deluded Dave Johnson has also been viewed thousands of times since Burke began appearing in the special interviews with TV personality Dr Phil this week.
In it, morbid Johnson -- who also posts videos explaining why the earth is FLAT -- speaks about how "liars" have peddled the "myth" of beauty pageant star JonBenet being tragically killed.
“Nobody died, nobody got hurt", he says.
"That sacrifice was in name only, and that was to get something, and that something was to become a star.
"JonBenet became Katy Perry, and that’s a fact.”

He even suggests that JonBenet and Katy Perry's parents are the same couple.
Flat-earther Johnson says that Patsy Ramsey -- who died in 2006 -- simply lost weight to become the singer's slim mother, and John Ramsey shaved his head to become Perry's bald pastor dad.
It has led to other deluded YouTubers to spout their own loopy theories.
In another clip posted by a user under the name Jungle Surfer, apparent similarities between Katy Perry and JonBenet go all the way to their eyebrows.
“You know, the eyebrows don’t change much on a person,” a voice says.
“You’re born with your eyebrows.
"They’re very close, very close indeed, aren’t they?
"As you know, this whole entertainment industry is just a charade — you really don’t know the truth.”
The conspiracy clips have been roundly criticised. One viewer wrote under Johnson's video: "Has anyone told Katy Perry about this?"
