Former French President Jacques Chirac rushed to hospital following pneumonia scare
Political heavyweight was at the palace of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI in Agadir when he fell ill

FORMER French President Jacques Chirac was rushed to hospital by private jet yesterday to be treated for pneumonia.
Chirac, 83, was at the palace of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI in Agadir when he fell ill on Saturday.
Royal Air Maroc provided two jets to fly him and his family the 1,500 miles back to Paris.
Chirac’s spokesman said the politician known as Le Bulldozer would be in hospital “for a number of days” with the lung bug.
He was president of France between 1995 and 2007.
Chirac — a former heavy smoker — has regularly complained of ill-health since being convicted of corruption.
He was given a two-year suspended prison sentence in 2011.
