Popstars Aly & AJ reveal they were ‘caught in crossfire’ of Sacramento mass shooting as cops hunt suspects who killed 6

SINGERS and ex-Disney stars Aly & AJ revealed the horror moment they were forced to shelter in place due to rapid gunfire that left six people dead on Saturday.
The duo, consisting of sisters Alyson and AJ Michalka, took to Twitter on Sunday to update their fans on the Sacramento tragedy.
It came as cops revealed they are searching for two suspects in relation to the mass shooting that also left 12 others injured.
Two of the victims have so far been identified as cops said during a press conference on Sunday that a reported delay in removing other remains is a result of the importance of ensuring no evidence is lost during the investigation.

According to the duo, their tour bus was “caught in the crossfire” after performing at the Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento.
After sheltering in place during the incident, they said everyone in their touring group is okay.

Tyler, the Creator also performed in the area on Saturday night at the Golden 1 Center.
Kalis Uchis, who opened for the hip-hop artist, that took place Sunday morning.
“Devastated by the mass shooting last night in Sacramento near the venue we performed at,” wrote Uchis. “Our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.
"We pray the injured recover quickly and that everyone at our show made it home safely.”
RAPID GUNFIRE
A total of six people were killed - three men and three women - along with 12 others injured, police confirmed, after suspects reportedly opened fire on the street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Cops said in a press conference on Sunday that a suspect has still not been identified.
Videos posted on social media showed crowds of people running through the street with the sound of rapid gunfire in the background.
Witnesses claimed they heard as many as 50 gunshots fired from an automatic weapon.
Authorities say they don’t know whether one or more suspects were involved, and are asking anyone from the public who can help to contact police.
Berry Accius, a community activist, told : “The first thing I saw was like victims.
"I saw a young girl with a whole bunch of blood in her body, a girl taking off glass from her, a young girl screaming saying, ‘They killed my sister'.
"A mother running up, ‘Where’s my son, has my son been shot?’"
Earlier, cops urged people to avoid the area as a four-block area around the scene was cordoned off.
VICTIMS CONFIRMED
So far, two of the six victims have been identified by their families.
The death of Sergio Harris, 38, was confirmed by his family. His mother, Pamela Harris, was at the scene Sunday morning to see if her son was a victim.
“My son was a very vivacious young man,” said Pamela.
“Fun to be around, liked to party, smiling all the time. Don’t bother people. For this to happen is crazy.
“I’m just to the point right now, I don’t know what to do. I don’t even feel like this is real. I feel like this is a dream.” Pamela just had dinner with her son the night before.
Sergio’s wife, Leticia Fields-Harris, shared her grief with .
“This is a sad and terrible act of violence that took the lives of many,” she said. “I want answers so I can have closure for my children.”
Another confirmed victim was 29-year-old DeVazia Turner. His father, Frank, spoke with
Turner lived in Vacaville before his death but was originally from Sacramento, according to his father.
GUN VIOLENCE
Gavin Newsom, Governor of California released a statement condemning the "scourge of gun violence", saying: "Sadly, we once again mourn the lives lost and for those injured in yet another horrendous act of gun violence.
"Jennifer and I send out heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and to the wider community impacted by this terrible tragedy.
"What we do know at this point is that another mass casualty shooting has occurred, leaving families with lost loved ones, multiple individuals injured and a community in grief.
"The scourge of gun violence continues to be a crisis in our country, and we must resolve to bring an end to this carnage."
Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg said: “Words can’t express my shock and sadness this morning.
“The numbers of dead and wounded are difficult to comprehend. We await more information about exactly what transpired in this tragic incident rising gun violence is the scourge of our city, state and nation, and I support all actions to reduce it.
"Our new Police Chief, Kathy Lester, has made it a top priority, and I stand firmly behind her.”

Sunday’s violence was the third time in the US this year that at least six people were killed in a mass shooting, according to the Associated Press.
It was the second mass shooting in Sacramento in the last five weeks.
