A WOMAN's legs were seen flailing as her "drunk" husband ran her over with their kid in the car, according to cops.
Charlotte Sturgeon died after she was hit by the couple's SUV at the Salt Lake City airport's parking lot on Monday.
Surveillance footage from the airport parking garage reportedly shows Shawn Christopher Sturgeon, 38, placing his child in a rear passenger seat before getting into the driver's seat. Then, the brake lights of his SUV come on.
"The victim appears to be standing in the open rear passenger door and (her husband) begins to reverse the vehicle. The victim's legs can be seen flailing about as he continues to reverse, being dragged which causes her to fall to the ground under the vehicle," according to the affidavit.
Sturgeon then drove over his wife and moved the vehicle forward about 10 feet before stopping, according to the affidavit.
He then put his wife in the vehicle's front passenger seat.

"Shortly after the crash, Sturgeon drove the vehicle, with his wife critically injured inside, to the airport parking payment booths where he asked for help," according to a statement from Salt Lake police.
"Because Sturgeon drove from the garage to the parking payment booths, SLCPD established two crime scenes to document and collect evidence."
Shawn Sturgeon was questioned by police and taken into custody.
"The arriving officers stated that (he) appeared to be under the influence of alcohol as evidenced by the odor coming from his mouth and glassy bloodshot eyes," the affidavit states.

Officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department say Sturgeon "made several spontaneous utterances that he 'ran my wife over,' 'killed my wife' and 'I accidentally ran her over.'"
Shawn Sturgeon has been arrested under the suspicion of automobile homicide and criminal negligence DUI of alcohol/drugs.
He is currently in police custody and being held without bail.
Utah law states "a person can be arrested for investigation of automobile homicide if the driver operates a motor vehicle in a negligent manner causing the death of another and has a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit of 0.05%," according to .
Charlotte Sturgeon, 29, died at a nearby hospital, "despite lifesaving efforts being performed on scene at the airport and at the hospital," Salt Lake City police said.
The incident occurred on April 4 around 2.40pm local time on the second level of the short-term parking garage at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
The couple had been returning home from vacation with their young child, according to the police affidavit.

The investigation is ongoing, as the death is being treated as a homicide.
Airport operations were not affected by the incident.
