IT has been two months since Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan was gunned down in front of his two-year-old daughter on a Florida road.

But his widow is still searching for answers after the 33-year-old was murdered while on his way home to St Augustine on February 16, as police have revealed that surveillance footage captured gunshots.

As police continue to investigate, The Sun outlines seven chilling details in Jared's murder - from why he stopped while driving, to how his daughter has coped with the tragedy.

HAD JUST DROPPED OFF OLDER KIDS

Jared was murdered after he had dropped off his nine-year-old twins at his ex-wife’s home in Jacksonville Beach.

His wife Kristen, 30, branded the killing “pure evil.”

She said: “To have that done where he didn’t even have a chance to fight back, and it was done in front of his daughter.

STOPPED FOR TIRE ON THE ROAD

Police are investigating if Jared was lured out of his car, as he reportedly stopped when he saw a tire in the middle of the one-way road.

Sgt Tonya Tator, of the Jacksonville Police Department, told  Digital that he was shot after getting out of the car.

Detective Sergeant David Young said to  that “there is a reason he was stopped there. There’s a reason there’s a tire in the middle of the road.”

DAUGHTER WITNESSED THE MURDER

Jared was driving his black Volkswagen Atlas back to his home in St Augustine with his daughter Bexley in tow when he got out of the car and was murdered.

Kirsten revealed Bexley was left in shock after she saw her father get killed.

The child refers to the slaying as “The Boom.”

Kirsten said: “She says ‘Boom! Boom Boom! Daddy on the ground.”

SHOTS HEARD ON SURVEILLANCE

Police say that security footage from homes in the area captured the sound of several gunshots.

Officials arrived at the scene after several calls to 911 reporting the murder.

While no suspects have been identified, police released images of what they have called a car of interest.

CAR OF INTEREST

Cops have identified a dark blue Ford F-150 as a vehicle of interest.

They released a video that shows the car in question and are asking the public's help in locating it.

"Somebody out there knows what happened or knows somebody that was involved in this, and we’re asking them to do the right thing," detective Tator said.

UNCLEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH EX-WIFE

Jared's wife Karen has declined to comment on his relationship with his ex-wife, as reported by .

However, it has been noted that his older kids from his prior message did not attend Jared's funeral even though they were invited.

DAUGHTER LEFT IN SHOCK

The murder has reportedly taken a great toll on Bexley.

In a heartbreaking Facebook post, Kristen wrote: "Bexley and Jared had the best relationship.

"She loved him with everything she could muster and followed him around everywhere.

"Whether it was working in the garage, cleaning the car, or walking into his office during conference calls, she always wanted to be with him."

Kirsten and Jared met on a dating app before they tied the knot in 2017 and had two children.

Jared worked as a manager of user experience at the tech giant.

Kirsten was an account manager at Microsoft before quitting her job to become a full-time mom.

She admits the weekends are hard as she posted online: "I miss the games Jared would come up with, the fun things he always planned.

"His laugh, his smile, his goofy nature were my favorite."
