Disgraced ex-Tory MP Brooks Newmark hires privacy lawyers to get his naked selfies removed from the web

DISGRACED ex-Tory MP Brooks Newmark has hired top privacy lawyers to get his naked selfies wiped from the web.
Newmark, 58, was Minister for Civil Society when he sent explicit photos to an undercover male reporter.
He thought the journalist was a female party activist and quit his post in 2014 when the pictures came to light.
Now married dad-of-five Newmark has instructed law firm Carter-Ruck to get the embarrassing photos taken down from newspaper websites.
In formal letters, the firm has demanded removal of pictures of “our client partially dressed at his home”, claiming they breach his copyright because he took them.
Society of Editors executive director Bob Satchwell said: “People are now regularly going to expensive lawyers to try and wipe out pieces of history which they don’t like.
“Perhaps they should always remember the old adage that if you’re concerned that your behaviour might appear in Private Eye or on the front page of The Sun, you should probably think twice about doing it.”
Newmark quit as MP for Braintree in Essex before The Sun on Sunday revealed he also sent up to 40 naked snaps to a single mum, begging her for sex.
The pair then had a two-year affair but she later insisted she did not know he was married.
He is now studying at Oxford University.
