Kaitlin Armstrong is a former yoga teacher based in Texas.
She and her former long-term partner, Colin Strickland, previously worked together to design and build vintage trailers at his company, Wheelhouse Mobile.
According to Austin police, all of Armstrong's social media profiles were erased following the death of cyclist Moriah Wilson.
The police suspected at the time that Armstrong killed Wilson.
On November 16, 2023, Armstrong was found guilty of first-degree murder.
The following day, Armstrong was sentenced to 90 years in prison with a $10,000 fine.

During her visit to Texas, Wilson and Strickland met up without informing Armstrong.
Armstrong used the cycling app, Strava, and location tracking services to find Wilson's whereabouts at the time.
She reportedly "stood over [Wilson] after she shot her in the head twice and put another bullet in her heart," said Assistant District Attorney Rick Jones.
"You heard the medical examiner. That third bullet was in her heart."
Did Kaitlin Armstrong escape from custody?
On October 11, 2023, while attending a doctor's appointment with authorities, Kaitlin Armstrong attempted to escape custody.
According to the , Armstrong managed to get one block away before being captured by two deputies.
The deputies reportedly did not lose sight of Armstrong during the brief pursuit, per the sheriff's office.

Her criminal trial began on October 30, 2023, however, it only lasted over two weeks. Sentencing was reached only one day after the verdict for the 35-year-old.
