Gabby Petito’s family wants Brian Laundrie’s parents to testify as lawsuit’s ‘wish list’ of witnesses is revealed

GABBY Petito's parents want the Laundries to testify in court - as the family's "wish list" of witnesses in their lawsuit is revealed.
's parents, Joe and Nichole, sued the Laundries accusing them of "intentional infliction of emotional distress," claiming they were aware their son had murdered their daughter.
According to , the initial witness list is "routine, procedural and far from a definitive list of names that would testify should the lawsuit reach a jury trial."
The Petitos list of witnesses includes Gabby's parents, Gabby's stepparents, Tara Petito and James Schmidt, Brian Laundrie's parents Christopher and Roberta, as well as representatives from both the FBI and North Port Police Department.
No specific names from either the FBI or NPPD were mentioned.
“It’s a wish list,” Laundries attorney, Steven Bertolino, told the outlet.

“I’m sure [Petito and Schmidt attorney Pat Reilly] put every party on that list that [he] believes he needs testimony from to prove his case.”
The wishlist comes just one week after Brian's parents hit back at the allegations that they covered up Gabby's murder and defended their silence during the search for the young vlogger.
Chris and Roberta Laundrie filed a motion for dismissal on May 13, 2022, after 's parents, Joe and Nichole, sued them for "intentional infliction of emotional distress."
“The Laundries’ decision to exercise their constructional rights to silence, privacy, and counsel, and to have their attorney speak for them under such trying circumstances and media pressure, could not be further from conduct that is extreme or goes beyond all bounds of decency,” the motion, obtained by , read.

“It is what most people would and should do in such a situation."
The motion also says that “there are no more facts that could emerge that would bolster the plaintiff’s claim."
The suit's status will be determined by Judge Hunter W. Carroll, who will rule for dismissal or proceed toward a jury trial next year.
The Petitos attorney Pat Reilly continued to stand by the suit and said they have evidence to support their claims.
“I think most people would recognize that if a parent is suffering because their child is missing, and I can help them and tell them where their child is, I have a moral and ethical duty to do that,” Reilly told WFLA.
He added that the argument for the lawsuit’s dismissal is “outrageous and ridiculous.”
Meanwhile, Laundries attorney, Steven Bertolino, believes the suit will ultimately be dismissed.
