'SOUNDED LIKE FIREWORKS'
A TEXAS school shooting survivor has recalled the horror moment gunfire erupted before he was shot in the leg by the gunman.
The youngster - who has not been named - told his grandmother how the shooting "sounded like fireworks."

She that the massacre happened in her grandson's classroom at Robb Elementary in Uvalde on Tuesday.
She added: "He's scared right now, he said he was scared but he's fine.
"It didn’t do any damage, hopefully no nerve damage and stuff, but he was just released and we thank God for that.
"We're praying for all of the children that were taken by this mass murderer."

It was confirmed on Wednesday that the shooting took place in one classroom, killing 19 elementary-aged students and two teachers.
The victims have been named as Amerie Jo Garza, 10, teachers Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia, Xavier Lopez, 10, Uziyah Garcia, nine, Eliahana 'Elijah Cruz' Torres, 10, Makena Lee Elrod, Nevaeh Bravo, Annabell Guadalupe Rodriguez.
Also among the victims are Lexi Rubio, Rojelia Torres, Jayce Carmelo Luevanos and Jailah Nicole Silguero.
Lt. Christopher Olivarez of the Texas Department of Public Safety said they were in the same fourth-grade classroom.
Salvador Ramos has been identified as the 18-year-old gunman who carried out the slaughter.
Authorities said Wednesday he had barricaded himself inside a single classroom and “began shooting anyone that was in his way."
Law enforcement officers eventually broke into the classroom and killed the gunman.

Ramos had hinted on social media that an attack could be coming, according to state Sen. Roland Gutierrez.
He sent chilling messages to an Instagram user, tagging her in a photo featuring weapons.
“I’m about to,” he writes without any explanation, only responding with, “I’ll tell you before 11” when the user asks what his original message meant.
“I’ll text you in a hour.
“But you HAVE TO RESPOND. I got a lil secret. I wanna tell u."
Gutierrez said that the gunman “suggested the kids should watch out” and that he had bought two “assault weapons” after turning 18.
Investigators also believe Ramos posted photos on Instagram of two guns he used in the shooting.
One of Ramos’ ex co-workers at a Wendy’s fast-food restaurant branded the teen "rude", the reported.

She claimed: “He would be very rude towards the girls sometimes.”
The co-worker also alleged he sent inappropriate text messages to female colleagues.
A friend claimed that Ramos, 18, used to shoot people at random using a BB gun.
Others said he had an obsession with the video game Call of Duty and cut his own face with a knife just for fun.
Ramos was also bullied in school, according to his best friend in eighth grade Stephen Garcia.

Before the attack, Ramos shot and wounded his grandmother, then fled the scene, crashing his car at the school and making his way inside, authorities said.
The attack was the deadliest shooting at a US school since a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012.
