A SYRIAN refugee groped a woman’s breasts shortly after arriving in Britain, a court heard.
Mohammed Al-Youssfi, 23, allegedly held the 46-year-old in a “bear hug” and rubbed himself against her at last month’s Notting Hill Carnival, West London.
Police were called and he headbutted a constable who tried to arrest him, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.
Edward Aydin, prosecuting, said three women were leaving the carnival when they noticed Al-Youssfi was walking behind them.
He said: “They stood aside for him to go by them, but he didn’t.
“He grabs the lady there, the complainant, who is 46.
“She’s wearing a jumpsuit and he grabs her in a bear hug, then grabs her breasts. He’s wearing a white t-shirt and pink shorts.”
The prosecutor added: “He’s been in this country for a very short time. He’s from Aleppo, in Syria.”
Al-Youssfi, from Aleppo, is charged with assault and sexual assault and was remanded in custody until October 5.
