Hilarious moment pedestrian deliberately blocks cyclist trying to ride through zebra crossing when he should have stopped

THIS rogue cyclist got more than he bargained for when he tried to dash over a busy zebra crossing in central London. 

The speeding menace thought he'd spotted a gap between pedestrians as he rushed towards the crossing without a thought of stopping.

As other cyclists slowed down to let those on foot safely pass, he carried on regardless and tried to dart through a gap between commuters.

However, just as he thought he had made it across a plucky pedestrian stepped in and blocked his path.

The fed up walker was heard to shout: “You have to stop, it’s the law, it’s the law”

What followed was an hilarious stand-off as the cyclist tried to skirt round the man and the man in turn kept blocking his path.

At one stage it looked like the cyclist would have to mount the pavement just to get past his new-found foe.

Those nearby could only watch in amusement as the embarrassed cyclist tried to make a quick getaway.

Eventually the speed merchant slipped past the suited businessman and is seen disappearing into the distance.

The clip - which is now on YouTube - was captured on a helmet cam near the House of Parliament in Westminster.
