kILLER'S HOPE
Oscar Pistorius set to meet victim Reeva Steenkamp’s father in new bid for freedom

KILLER Oscar Pistorius is a step closer to being released from jail after securing a key meeting with his victim’s father.
The disgraced Paralympian shot dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.
He is soon to hold talks with Barry Steenkamp as part of a process that could lead to his release on parole.
Pistorius, 35, was due to also meet Reeva’s mum June — who has said she has forgiven him.
But the Steenkamps’ lawyer Tania Koen said: “At this moment, it’s a no from June.”
Pistorius has served half his sentence of 13 years and five months.
He shot Reeva saying he mistook her for a burglar at home in Pretoria, South Africa.
