Donald Trump would be the oldest and fattest US President in over 100 years

The burly 70-year-old Republican candidate tips the scales at a hefty 236 lbs

DONALD Trump would be the fattest and oldest President in over 100 years if he was to be elected.

The 70-year-old Republican candidate weighs in at a hefty 236 pounds which would make him the heaviest US leader since William Taft who tipped the scales at 354 pounds when he was inaugurated in 1909.

The plump firebrand, who has admitted to gorging on calorific fast food, would also be the oldest President in the history of the Unites States beating Ronald Reagan who was 69-years-old when he took office in 1980.

Last month, the obese billionaire appeared on the Dr. Oz Show to reveal a two page medical report from his doctors which disclosed he was taking statins to control his cholesterol.

During the TV appearance, Trump insisted that public speaking was his only form of regular exercise.

He said: “It’s a lot of work. When I’m up there speaking in front of 15,000, 25,000 people up there, using a lot of motion, I guess, in its own way it’s a really healthy act.

“I really enjoy doing it. A lot of times these rooms are really hot, like saunas. I guess that’s a form of exercise.”

The burly property tycoon would be the third fattest President in history finishing behind fellow heavy-hitters Taft and Grover Cleveland who weighed 275 pounds when he entered the White House in 1893.

Trump has repeatedly questioned the ‘stamina’ of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton following her stumble at a 9/11 memorial last month.

Last night, the Republican impersonated his rival's fall at a rally in Pennsylvania prompting howls of laughter from the baying crowd.

The brash New Yorker has also come under fire for comments he made about Miss Universe winner Alicia Machado who he reportedly called ‘Miss Piggy’ when she gained weight in the 1990s.

The incident was used by his Presidential opponent to attack Trump in the recent televised debate.

Clinton said: “One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest.

“He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them, and he called this woman ‘Miss Piggy,’ then he called her ‘Miss Housekeeping’ because she was Latina.”
