Southeastern London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross rail services hit by major delays and cancellations

COMMUTERS faced Monday morning misery today when under-fire Southeastern rail cancelled nearly all its services into London.
The handful of trains which were still running into the capital were hit by huge delays and diversions because of over-running engineering work at London Bridge and Cannon Street.
Southeastern trains confirmed all services into and through London Bridge this morning will be affected until the work is finished.
There are delays in both directions to and from London.
Southeastern services to and from Charing Cross have only just started calling at London Bridge again after nearly two years of no service.
National Rail said some trains may be diverted to London Blackfriars or London Victoria.
Furious commuters, who pay some of the highest fares in Europe, have taken to social media to vent their anger.
Dan Martin, tweeted: "Monday morning and trains to Cannon Street are cancelled...you had one job @Se_Railway."
Sophie Gratwick, said: "@Se_Railway are you mad, Why have cancelled Cannon Street and Char X trains!"
And to make things worse those that jumped on a bus in a bid to get to work on time were bit by traffic jams caused by the closure of Tower Bridge.
The closure of the London landmark came after Londoners hit out at transport bosses for allowing the new Transformers blockbuster to be filmed on bridge while the landmark was closed to traffic.
The 122-year-old Victorian structure spanning the River Thames last underwent refurbishment in 1970.

The City of London Corporation, said work will take place on the timber decking, lifting mechanism and water proofing its brick arches.
The bridge will close for road traffic until 30 December but pedestrians can walk across on all but three weekends.
A free cross river ferry service will run when it is closed to pedestrians.
But while London traffic was diverted high-performance cars could be seen on the bridge as scenes for the film were recorded.
The sight saw Londoners take to social media to question the importance of the works - expected to cause months of traffic misery.
One Twitter user said: "Tower Bridge closed for three months for maintenance or the filming of the new Transformers movie!"

While another said: "Um, I thought Tower Bridge was closed for essential maintenance? But it seems safe enough to film Transformers on?"
Another wrote: "When u think Tower Bridge will be closed for engineering work but its cos of a new Transformers movie."
Another person asked Transport for London: "If Tower Bridge is closed for maintenance why are they filming Transformers on it?"
The decision to allow the filming was made by the City of London Corporation.
A spokesperson said: “Today’s filming has no impact on the schedule of work planned for the Tower Bridge closure.
"The filming is taking advantage of the traffic closure in place as preparatory works take place on the north side of the bridge.”
Head of Tower Bridge Chris Earlie has said essential work is needed before vehicles can use the bridge again.
He said: “The work needs doing as it has not been done in about 40 years.
"We’ve considered the potential chaos that could be caused and we’ve ensured that there will be pedestrian access throughout.”
The new Transformers movie is scheduled for release in June.
