IMPD Assistant Chris Bailey told reporters in an update on Wednesday that a man’s body was found by dive teams.

Cops also found a vehicle in the water and three kids were found dead inside.

Local reports suggest the missing Moorman family were last seen in a 2009 black four-door Saab.

Police said it matched the description of the car that was being driven.

The bodies have not been positively identified but police said there’s “commonality” with the Moorman family.

Police have not been able to establish a cause of death.

Cops said they cannot verify Kyle and his three kids Kyle Moorman II, Kyannah Holland, two, and one-year-old Kyran Holland were in the pond but "signs point to them".

The case is being treated as a death investigation.

Detectives will be at the scene collecting evidence as they piece the circumstances that led to the event.

Bailey said: "This is heartbreaking for everyone involved. Regardless of the circumstances, we know a man and three young kids are dead tonight.

"We don't know why and we don't know how. In these circumstances, our rational brains want to know why and how something like this could happen."

Kyle Sr told relatives he was taking the kids to fish along the White River.

There were reports that the family was seen at a Cracker Barrel in Whitestown on Sunday, July 10, but they were later debunked.

Now, relatives of the family have said they are worried about their safety.

Moorman's mother, Natasha Hayes, told : "This is not like him."

"He would not let us worry like that, not when he's got all three of the babies."

She added: "My grandson has to take medicine, he has a chronic cough with asthma.

"Me and him are really close; he's never done this before."

She continued: "I don't see him not getting in contact with somebody in his family."

"He would have got help if he was capable, that's what’s worrying me.

"Something's not right. Something's wrong. I really feel in my gut."

Moorman's mother added: "I think he's hurt, and we just don't know where he's hurt, we don't know where he is at.

"If we can find where his car is, then maybe that can lead us to where him and those babies are."

Kyle's sister, Mariah Moorman, was helping other relatives search by a pond on Monday, July 11.

She told : "As far as we know, he was coming out here to go fishing. That's what he told my sister.
