Dramatic moment ‘UFO’ shaped as a ball of light is caught on camera hovering over Moscow

THIS is the eerie moment a ball of light shaped like a "UFO" was caught hovering over a block of flats in Moscow.

Footage of the encounter was filmed by a baffled onlooker on his mobile phone.

It shows a bright ball of light flying over houses and has racked up thousands of views after being uploaded online.

The UFO can be seen going up and down and according to local reports, was believed to be huge and very bright.

Russian officials have not commented on the matter but some said it was not the first time it had been sighted.

Yulia added: "I have no idea what this thing was. UFO is the first thing which comes to mind."
