Clarksville Walmart and Sam’s Club stores EVACUATED over bomb threat with Indiana residents asked to avoid the area

A BOMB threat at Walmart and Sam's Club stores in Clarksville on Thursday caused shoppers to evacuate as residents were asked to avoid the area, according to police.
The threat was called into the Walmart and Sam's Club in Indiana at around 2.30pm, police say.
Store management decided to evacuate the buildings.
The Clarksville Police Department and the Louisville Metro Police Department's Bomb Squad are investigating the threat.
In an effort to make residents avoid the area, police blocked off the parking lot, WDRB reported on .
However, cars were still able to leave the parking lot.

The CPD also asked residents to avoid the area on their .
WDRB viewers said that traffic in the area and at the I-65 interchange had slowed because of the incident.
An employee from Sam's Club told that police had taken people from the scene to a fire station across the street from the store.
As of 4.33pm, the threat had been cleared.

CPD said in a recent tweet:
"Walmart/Sam’s Club have been cleared and everything is safe," Cpl. John Miller said.
"Both stores will resume normal operations shortly."
Bomb threats have caused mass chaos recently, especially in high-volume places like the airport.
