Doctor Strange star Zara Phythian who sexually abused girl, 13, becomes prison cleaner as she serves 8yrs behind bars
AN actor who appeared in the Marvel movie Doctor Strange has become a cleaner in prison as she serves eight years behind bars for sexually abusing a teenage girl.
Zara Phythian is taking part in an industrial cleaning course at Foston Hall jail in Derbyshire.
She's currently serving time for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl with her husband Victor Marke during a three-year reign of terror.
Her father Andy, who visits Phythian twice a month, hopes the course will teach her skills that she can put to use once she's released.
He told the : “She’s coping surprisingly well. They’ve put her on an industrial cleaners course.
“If you did it on the outside it would cost you £5,000 to get the certification.

"A chosen few are selected to help reflect their good behaviour. Hopefully it will come in useful when she gets out.”
Andy said his daughter has a job in the gym training and teaching yoga and self-defence classes.
He said: “Zara accepts her situation and is just trying to do the right thing while she serves her sentence.
“The prison is understaffed so there are a lot of days when they are locked in their cell which Zara finds hard to deal with but I don’t want her to get moved now she’s settled in.”

The actress got her big break when she landed a role in Marvel's Doctor Strange, starring alongside Benedit Cumberbatch, to play the role of sorcerer Brunette Zealot.
Phythian and Marke were jointly charged with 14 counts of sexual activity with a child between 2005 and 2008.
The 37-year-old plied the teen, aged between 13 and 15, with rum before making her perform a sex act on her husband "once or twice a month" and threatened her to keep her quiet.
Earlier this year, a family member of Phythian claimed she was put into isolation in prison.
Her father says that is now no longer the case and she has been allocated her own cell.
Andy said: “When she first came in on the remand wing she was getting a lot of grief and put in isolation for her own safety but that has all stopped now and she is in a single cell.”

Phythian, 36, met martial arts and Taekwondo "master" Marke, 59 when she was aged 19 and he was still married.
Marke had sex with the complainant about 20 times on different occasions and was also convicted of four counts of indecent assault on another girl, between 2002 and 2003.
He was jailed for 14 years while Phythian received eight years.
They were even friends with another “evil and twisted” paedophile who raped a teenage girl in an almost identical case.
Video shows Phythian training with kickboxing instructor Paul Drury, 57, in 2008 - seven years before he was jailed.
The fiend raped a girl shortly before her 13th birthday at his home and at the Black Belt Academy he ran in Dawlish.
Just two years after meeting Marke, Phythian's "deviance" had been shaped by her husband - described as the "driving force" behind the horror.
Aged just 20 herself, Phythian abused the young girl's trust in her to lure her to the marital home after they "pre-planned" the abuse.
Once there, she was given rum before being asked by the actress - also a martial arts expert - if she wanted to play "dares".
She then began performing a sex act on her husband before asking the victim to do the same.
Marke then "took it in turns" to have sex with them both.
Sickeningly, the couple would attempt to re-create porn they watched together with the girl while filming the abuse.

Their abuse may have remained a chilling secret forever if Marke hadn't abused a second girl to "satisfy his sexual urges".
