A BRIDEGROOM who had eloped with a runaway teenage girl was dragged out of the temple where he was getting married and had his throat cut in the street before a huge boulder was used to crush his head.
Horrified bride Hastapuram Mounika, 18, watched as her parents and relatives dragged victim Mahankali Anil out of a Hindu temple to his death in Thimmapur, central India.
Witnesses described how his throat was slit and then his head and body were crushed with boulders.
Water worker Anil, 22, and Hastapuram had been dating each other for a year but her parents had tried to keep the couple apart.
