Rhys Jones killer Sean Mercer moved to ‘Monster Mansion’ prison – home to infamous child murderers and serial rapists

THE killer of 11-year-old Rhys Jones has been moved to the “Monster Mansion” jail as police investigate a suspected prison smuggling ring.
Sean Mercer, 32, is now locked up with some of Britain’s worst cons.
Fellow inmates at HMP Wakefield, West Yorks, include black cab rapist John Worboys and Sarah Payne’s murderer Roy Whiting.
The switch was ordered after an alleged plot to smuggle in phones and other contraband was smashed at HMP Gartree, Leics.
Mercer was ordered to gather his belongings and driven 110 miles north in a top-secret operation.
Last night a source said: “Wakefield isn’t a nice place to be — it holds some of the worst of the worst. It’ll be a real shock to Mercer’s system.”
