Russia reveals chilling first images of its ‘Satan 2’ super-nuke which could destroy a country the size of France at the touch of a button

RUSSIA has released the first glimpse of its new "Satan 2" warheads - the world's most advanced nuclear missile capable of destroying an area the size of France.
It will replace Vladimir Putin's Soviet-era Satan missiles which already carry payloads 1,000 times more powerful than those used on Japan at the end of WWII.
Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau, the missile's manufacturer, announced that it would be ready for launch in two years' time.
Officially named the RS-28 Sarmat, the company stated it was "created in order to secure an effective nuclear deterrent of Russia's strategic forces".
The terrifying weapon's capabilities will surpass all missiles currently known to man.

They are rumoured to have a range of 6,000 miles, and carry up to 16 separate bombs capable of independently launching from the missile to strike multiple targets from a single launch.
Built with new guidance technology capable of circumterrestrial navigation, they will also be able to strike from unexpected directions in most areas of the world.
Russian defence officials have previously claimed the warhead will be capable of penetrating all known US missile defence systems.
These systems, which utilise interceptor missiles, are currently spread throughout Europe and on US warships stationed at sea.
