Brit tourist dies after horror ‘pistol-whip mugging’ attack at mountain beauty spot on holiday in Colombia

A BRITISH tourist has died after being mugged in a horror attack at a mountain beauty spot in Colombia.
The 34-year-old is understood to have been smashed over the head with a pistol by a gang of three men after he hiked to the Hill of Three Crosses in Medellin.
The victim man, named locally as Kyle Mackenzie, was left to die by the attackers and was found in a critical condition two days after disappearing.
He was rushed to hospital - but tragically died on Wednesday after medics battled to save him.
Kyle lived in Ashford, Kent, and worked as a landscape architect, according to local reports.
It is understood he was on holiday in Colombia and planned to stay for two months.
The hike to the Hill of Three Crosses offers breathtaking views of the city of Medellin - the capital the mountainous Antioquia province.
Kyle was found at the bottom of a drop near the top of the hill where he is thought to have been attacked.
He reportedly managed to tell medics he had been mugged by three men who stole all his belongings.
His body is now at Medellin’s Forensic Medicine Institute.
