The Queen and Sir David Attenborough were spotted enjoying a joke at Buckingham Palace

The Royal was in fits of giggles as she met the Planet Earth presenter when they attended a conservation event

THE Queen and Sir David Attenborough were spotted sharing a laugh as they met at a reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Majesty and Sir David, both 90, were at the event which was organised to showcase a range of projects set up as part of a new conservation initiative on Tuesday.

The pair were snapped in fits of giggles and could have been catching up on Sir David’s impressive new series of Planet Earth on the BBC.

In a speech the popular wildlife presenter praised the Queen, saying: “We are fortunate that you are still thinking about the future and how to make this a better world.”

Speakers at the event discussed forestry initiatives around the world that have been set up as part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy.

The monarch later presented High Commissioners from 20 countries with certificates recognising their dedication to the cause.
