A CITY centre vigil is expected to take place today to honour the victims of the Nottingham attack, as police continue to question the suspect.
Star hockey player Grace Kumar, 19, was tragically killed alongside fellow student Barnaby Webber, also 19, and school caretaker Ian Coates, in a frenzied stabbing attack in Notts city centre.
A second vigil in remembrance of all of the victims will be held in Old Market Square from 5:30pm.
And on Thursday, Valdo Amissão Mendes Calocane, 31, was named as the suspect arrested for the killings.

Who is Barnaby Webber?
Barnaby Webber was the first victim named in the horrific attack.
He was a 19-year-old keen cricketer who was said to be a first year at the University of Nottingham.
The teen was making his way home to his student accommodation from a nightclub on the morning he died.
He is understood to have been walking with a pal Grace Kumar, also 19, when they were allegedly stabbed to death.
Barnaby’s grandfather Phil Robson confirmed he had been killed amid the horror.
On June 13, 2023, just hours after Barnaby died, Phil said: “We are still unsure what has gone on at the moment.
“Barnaby’s parents are in bits.”

The Nottingham suspect screamed “let me in” as he tried to break into a homeless hostel moments after two students were stabbed to death, it can be revealed.
The man, dressed all in black, yelled “let me in, I want to see a doctor, let me in”, according to a witness at Seely Hirst House at 4.08am.
The man was fought off by a hero resident at the homeless shelter.
He left and minutes later — some 100 yards away — it is believed he fatally knifed a school caretaker.
Tributes for Ian Coates
Ian’s son Lee Coates said “I’m broken” as he learned of his dad’s death.
Accompanying a tribute with a broken heart emoji, he added on Twitter: “RIP dad.”
His other son James echoed the same tribute on Twitter.

What happened in Nottingham?
Police rushed to Ilkeston Road just after 4am on June 13, 2023, after witnesses revealed they heard “blood-curdling screams“.
Onlookers described the horror moment they claim they saw the knifing take place, before police swarmed the scene.
Police were then called to Milton Street where the stolen van was used to run over three people – leaving one man in a critical condition with two others suffering minor injuries.
Detectives – including terror cops – believe the suspect had stolen the van from nearby Magdala Road, where he killed the vehicle’s owner.
The man in his 50s had been stabbed to death, police believe.
The suspect was ultimately arrested about 5.30am, after being Tasered by cops who dragged him from the vehicle.
Police confirmed before 10am the 31-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of murder, and was being held in custody.
They then revealed they were not looking for anyone else in connection to the tragedy – while keeping an “open mind” around the alleged killer’s movie.

Witness reveals horror moment she found first victim
A witness has revealed the horrific moment she found the first victim of a knifeman’s horror rampage through Nottingham.
University pals Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar, both 19, were killed in the horror – alongside a man, 54, who is believed to be a tradesman.
A third-year student, 21, was the first person to come across the fatally wounded pair while getting an Uber home alone.
She told : “We were driving past and saw this body in the road. The road was completely empty.
“At first I thought it was a mannequin but when the Uber driver swerved to avoid it I saw it was a body.
“The Uber driver called the police and I got out and ran towards the body.
“I was the first one there and I could see he wasn’t responding. He was face-up in a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
“You could see he was covered in stabbed wounds from his neck to his toes.”
Police given more time to question ‘killer’
Police have been given more time to question the suspect behind the knife and van rampage that killed three people in Nottingham.
The 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at 5.30am on Tuesday after two students - Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar - and school caretaker Ian Coates were stabbed to death.
He remains in custody.
The man, believed to be of West African origin, was Tasered and cuffed after allegedly running at cops with a knife on Maples Street in the city at 5.30am.
One was left in critical condition while two others had minor injuries.
What did Grace's dad say at yesterday's vigil?
Grace's dad Dr Sanjoy Kumar said "it's such a lovely sign of the bond you have" before saying "love everyone".
He told crowds: "To everyone here, I really want to thank you for your support, for taking the time to be here.
"All of you guys, everywhere I look I see a sea of people. Such a lovely sign of the university and the bond you have.
"Grace was also like Barney, she loved coming up to Nottingham, in fact, we couldn't get her down."

Who was Ian Coates?
Ian Coates was a school caretaker who was killed in the tragic sunrise attack in Nottingham.
He is understood to have been found dead on the side of Magdala Road at around 5.30am.
Police believe Ian was knifed by the attacker, who stole his van.
The van was then used to run over three people – leaving one man in a critical condition and two others suffering minor injuries.
Barnaby Webber’s family slam ‘senseless murder’
The heartbroken family of one of the victims of the Nottingham attack has slammed his “senseless murder”.
Barnaby’s devastated parents have now paid tribute to him.
David and Emma Webber, and younger brother Charlie, said their boy was “at the start of his journey into adulthood and was developing into a wonderful young man”.
They described their “complete devastation” at the “senseless murder of our son”.
They said: “Complete devastation is not enough to describe our pain and loss at the senseless murder of our son.
“Barnaby Philip John Webber was a beautiful, brilliant, bright young man, with everything in life to look forward to.
“A talented and passionate cricketer, who was over the moon to have made selection to his university cricket team.
“At 19 he was just at the start of his journey into adulthood and was developing into a wonderful young man.
“As parents we are enormously proud of everything he achieved and all the plans he had made.
“His brother is bereft beyond belief, and at this time we ask for privacy as a family to be allowed time to process and grieve.
“We will not be making any further statements, particularly in relation to the police investigation.
