The horror first unfolded when a witness claimed he heard a "blood-curdling scream" and a young woman shrieking for help around 4am on June 13, 2023.

It is understood that was when two students, Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar were stabbed to death.

Officers were then scrambled to another incident in Milton Street where a van had attempted to run over three people.

A man was still fighting for his life in the hours that followed, while two others were injured.

And the horror continued to unfold when the police were called to nearby Magdala Road to find the body of a man in his 50s.

The cops said they believe he was killed when his van was stolen.

A man was ultimately arrested about 5.30am with officers seen pulling the 31-year-old from the white van before Tasering him.

The man, who is understood to be a foreign national with mental health issues, was then detained on suspicion of murder.

Witnesses have recalled hearing gunshots before watching police swarm the man.

In the hours that followed armed terror cops were seen raiding a home on the same street where Barnaby and Grace were found dead.

Then, around 3pm, police revealed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the alleged attacks.

The cops also said they were keeping an "open mind" around the suspect's motive behind the triple killing.

What we know:
