Woman who accused David Hamilton of rape ‘devastated’ by controversial photographer’s death
French TV presenter Flavie Flament claimed in book that Hamilton had abused her when she was just 13

AN alleged victim of a Brit fashion photographer accused of child rape is said to be “devastated” after he took his own life.
Cops said London-born Hamilton was found in an “asphyxiated state’” and died of a heart attack.
Hamilton’s controversial pictures of near naked young girls made him a darling of the fashion world but critics branded him a pornographer.
She said her parents had left her alone, thinking she would be safe, but she said “very quickly his behaviour altered - he raped me in the shower.”

Flavie said days before Hamilton’s death: ‘Today, victims of rape, when they are children, have up to the age of thirty eight to file a complaint, and they have to live with this trauma until the end of their lives.
“Meanwhile, their torturer can sleep quietly saying that it is a closed case.
“I chose to run the risk of being attacked by David Hamilton, for the simple reason that I felt I was supported by the population, magistrates, politicians and other witnesses.
“I chose to run the risk that, today, I will also be found guilty of defamation, and my rapist can now file a complaint against me.”
Her editor Karina Hocine yesterday said: “She’s devastated. There is a sense of immense revolt because there will now be no justice.”
