Photographs of the stunning female soldiers defending Ukraine in the crisis-torn east of the country are going viral after being posted on social media.
The camouflage-clad beauties, pictured clutching powerful rifles and machineguns - and in one case a cute puppy, are attracting their own army of admirers.
Unlike many of their male comrades who have been drafted, they are professional soldiers from the Ukrainian forces.
They are defending their homeland from pro-Russian groups in the east of the country following Russia's annexation of the Crimean peninsula.
Russia is reportedly deploying a massive army on the Ukrainian border amid fears of an imminent invasion which risks destabilising Eastern Europe.
Ukraine‘s Deputy Defence Minister Ihor Dolhov says a recent surge of troops now means there are 55,000 Russian soldiers ready to invade.
With invasion expected, the female fighters took some time out for some light relief, posing for photographs with makeup and smiles on their faces.
