British lags are using new online dating site to try and meet a partner (but not many reveal why they’re banged up)
Prison Dating has both male and female lags looking for love from behind bars

A DATING website has been launched to help British lags in their quest to find love from behind bars.
Prison Dating calls itself the “future of online dating” and claims it is “tailored to particular interests, hobbies, or clearly specified member needs”.
The website boasts both male and female lags looking for love and even features pictures of the prisoners seemingly taken from behind bars.
Users can upload profile pictures of themselves and create a profile based on their interests and backgrounds to attract a new partner.
They can even specify what their perfect first date would involve and whether they’d like kids.

The website claims to be part of “the fastest growing co-operative of online-dating sites in the world”.
It claims to have helped "many single female and male prisoners to find a date online".
The website goes on: "Obviously the nature of this site and the vast majority of those people on it mean that this is not your average dating site.
"But just because your situation may dictate that you cannot just go out on a date tonight, that does not mean that you can be denied the opportunity to find romance and happiness - and that is where our site comes in.
"In fact, many of our members are more than happy to be patient and wait to meet to meet the person that they have become friendly with.
"We have already helped many single prisoners from all over the UK to find companionship, both with single men and women on the outside but also with other single prisoners.
"We even have a lot of members on our site that are ex prisoners but who would very much like to meet others that have either been in their situation and understand prison life or those who are still in jail."
