Woman’s chilling screams heard as ‘XL Bully?mauls toddler on Greenwich street ?with owner, 30, charged

CHILLING screams were heard as an "XL Bully" mauled a toddler - as its owner is charged.
The 20-month-old boy was rushed to hospital after he was attacked by the dog in Catherine Grove, Greenwich, London, at 10.10am yesterday.
Neighbours have described how the horrifying attack resembled a terror movie as they called 999.
One man, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Sun: “I heard a woman screaming, like proper terror movie screaming so I called the police.
"I thought someone was getting murdered. They came very quickly, they were talking to the man.
"It sounded like he wasn’t very happy. I didn’t know what was going on."
As second neighbour added: "The woman was screaming quite loudly.Â
"He had his dog on a lead, over the way, the attack had already happened. Next to the Double Tree.Â
"He (baby) was screaming and had a bite on the leg. The mother was beside herself.
"I ran out thinking if someone needed CPR, I’m a respirator therapist back in the states so I went to see if I could assist.Â

She continued: "The man with the dog was moving his dog out the way. I don’t think he was trying to leave the scene.
"The lady was screaming loudly, to not get his dog riled up, he was moving away from the scene. He was yelling about that."
The dog, thought to be an XL Bully, and its owner were located by officers.
Thomas Ackah, of Old Kent Road, SE1, has been charged with being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.
He is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 3 October.
A police spokesman added: "The dog was reported to be an XL Bully, however further tests are required to confirm this."
It comes as Rishi Sunak confirmed XL Bully dogs will be banned by the end of the year to stop violent attacks.
The move came amid a series of attacks by the breed - including on children - and after one man was killed on September 14.
