DASHCAM footage shows an impatient driver get his comeuppance after undertaking a huge lorry carrying logs on the M5.

Moments later a driver DA Holt, whose car is fitted with the camera, films the Nissan motorist stopped on the hard shoulder.

His risky undertaking caught the attention of police officers in a patrol car and he's been pulled over.

Mr Holt, who uploaded the footage, told the : "Karma finds an arrogant driver who thinks he is more important than the rest of us."

Hundreds of impatient motorists are getting penalised every day.

More than 67,000 drivers – or 184 per day - were given points for failing to stop at traffic lights in 2015, according to FOI data obtained by insurance firm esure.

UK police forces reporting a eight per cent increase in the number of offences - roughly an extra 5,023 motorists – compared to the previous year.

A separate esure survey suggests one in four motorists admit to running a red light in the past year alone – equivalent to 9.3 million drivers.

The said: "Jumping red lights is becoming a common occurrence with the latest figures showing that traffic cameras are catching around 184 drivers every day

"However, these figures are just the tip of the iceberg, as they only reflect those offences documented by 33 Police forces, plus only the minority of red lights have a camera.

"In fact, as many as one in four (24 per cent) of motorists admit to having driven through a red light in the past 12 months — equivalent to 9.3 million motorists."
