THE stuntman accidentally shot dead on the set of a music video had posted a video with the deadly props just hours earlier.
Johann Ofner, 28, was gunned down while filming a video for Australian band Bliss n Eso in Brisbane.
And, hauntingly, he had posted a video showing a sawn-off shotgun, uzi and wads of fake cash a few hours before.
The Snapchat clip came alongside the caption: "faulty props."
reports the shotgun was the weapon that killed Ofner.
Carrying blanks, it had come with a warning not to point it at anyone.
But he is believed to have been shot at near point blank range in a tragic accident that left him dying on the floor.
Devastated friends of Ofner - who was due to star in the Aussie version of Ninja Warrior - today paid tribute to a "great man" in a series of emotional Facebook messages.
One read: "Rest in peace beautiful. you will be missed dearly xxx."
The award-winning hip hop band released a statement confirming the tragedy.
“We are able to confirm the death of a person occurred today at the filming of a Bliss n Eso music clip,” it read.
“The band were (sic) not on site at the time.
“The video production crew and our team are currently working with the police in their investigation and we are unable to provide further comment at this time.”
Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said filming was “occurring in the premises ... in relation to filming a music video” when the man was killed in what he called an “accidental” shooting.
“Several firearms were discharged during the scene by several actors,” he said.
“As a result of those firearms one of the actors has received wounds to the chest and subsequently died from his injuries.
“We don’t know how these injuries occurred.”
He added the Ofner’s death was now the subject of a criminal investigation.
“Any investigation involving sudden death of another person will always be the subject of a criminal investigation until proven otherwise,” he said.
“We have scientific officers present, members of the ballistics unit present and they’ll process the crime scene for a number of hours yet.”
Inspector Armitt said the film crew “actively performed CPR on the person” before paramedics reached the scene.
“(We have) 100 per cent support from the film crew and production company at this time in helping with investigations,” he said.
No one else was injured, police confirmed.
Construction worker Blake Shaw, who was on the floor above, told news agency AAP he heard loud bangs, one after the other.
“There was like three gunshots and then about five minutes all the cops came,” he said.
Mr Shaw said from a hole in the floor he could see money strewn around the bar and the victim’s torso covered in blood.
“We could see them (paramedics) working on the guy.”
understands the music clip was being filmed for the band’s latest track ‘Friend Like You (feat. Lee Fields)’.
