FLY ME TO THE MOON

This INCREDIBLE Cycler spaceship could ferry tourists between Earth and the Moon in two days

The Cycler transportation system was designed using existing interspace technology

THIS spaceship could soon be ferrying tourists between Earth and the Moon in just two days.

The concept craft is made up of space technology that is already available and cost the relatively small sum of £8 million.

The Cycler transportation system was based on moon landing legend Buzz Aldrin's Mars Cycler, the tourist ship could visit asteroids, the moon and even Mars as space tech advances.

The ferry would be manned by four astronauts and could carry 12 passengers, "most of whom would probably be space tourists going on the six-day trip around the moon," the company wrote on its website.

It's designed with components from SpaceX rockets and Bigelow Aerospace manufacturers.

The three bubble segments seen in the pictures are made up of Bigelow Aerospace's inflatable B330 capsules.

They will provide bedrooms for passengers in the first capsule, an open lounge and dining area in second and crew's quarters and storage in the third.

Mr Bombardier said: "I believe that a spacecraft like the Cycler could serve as a modular prototype to test multiple technologies assembled together and demonstrate on a small scale that this vision can be accomplished.

"It would also become a way to ‘kickstart’ the space tourism industry and develop space travel."

It's not that far-fetched.

US company Moon Express believe we will be taking holidays on the moon in less than a decade.
