DONALD Trump admits it is "very scary" that he now has his finger on America's nuclear button.
But the President insisted he would have no problem pushing it should the time come.
Trump was speaking to ABC's David Muir in his first interview since entering the White House last week.
And probed on his ability to use America's nuclear arsenal, he said: "When they explain what it represents and the kind of destruction that you're talking about, it is a very sobering moment.
"It's very, very, very scary in a sense."
Though the Oval Office chief admits he would have no qualm going nuclear should the need arise.
He added: "I have confidence I'll do the right thing, the right job, but it's a very scary thing."
