KIM GETS INVOLVED

Now Kim Kardashian wades into Donald Trump’s ‘Muslim ban’ row by tweeting statistics of number of Americans killed by Islamic jihadi immigrants

The star made a subtle dig at the President's 'Muslim ban' on Twitter

KIM Kardashian has subtly waded into the row over Donald Trump's so-called Muslim travel ban - tweeting statistics comparing the numbers killed by Islamic terrorists with those shot by other Americans.

The star coolly posted the table, which shows 11,737 people were killed by being shot by a fellow American - compared to just two killed by Islamic jihadist immigrants.

The tweet has been shared almost 50,000 times as protests erupt across the US against Trump's order to ban all refugees and visitors from seven Muslim countries across the world.

Kim's hubby Kanye West has been a vocal supporter of the new Republican president - although he claims he didn't actually vote - but the 35-year-old reality star supported Hillary Clinton in the election race.

Kim also retweeted a post from actor Kal Penn hitting back at a man who had told him he didn't "belong in America".

Her post came amid a flurry of heavy criticism for the ban, with a petition to stop Trump's state visit to the UK gathering more than 350,000 signatures in just a few hours.

Olympian Mo Farah, who has lived in Oregon in the US for six years, slammed the blockade as "ignorance and prejudice".

In a statement released today he said: "I am a British citizen who has lived in America for the past six years - working hard, contributing to society, paying my taxes and bringing up our four children in the place they now call home.

Sir Mo is a British passport holder but was born in Somalia – one of seven countries to which travel restrictions apply.

It emerged late on Saturday that the restrictions would also apply to people with dual citizenship - including Brits.

The gold medal-winner - who now lives in the US - is understood to be away training in Ethiopia – meaning he may not be able to return home to his family.

Anguished relatives faced hours of waiting to find out if their loved ones would be allowed into the country after the ban came into force.

An 80-year-old granddad was detained at LA airport for NINE HOURS - and finally freed after his family staged a protest.
