Search launched after man covered in blood spotted at lay-by

A  SEARCH has been launched after a man covered in blood was spotted in a lay-by.

The man was seen on a road in Stirlingshire, Scotland, this weekend in a lay-by used by canoeists.

The man had blood on his face and shirt, reports.

Cops are appealing for information from anyone who saw the man A84 between Callander and Buchany at about 7.30pm on Saturday.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "Police in Forth Valley have received reports of a male seen at the canoeists' lay-by on the A84 between Callander and Buchany around 7.30pm on Saturday, January 28.

"He had blood on his face and shirt. Officers are seeking to trace the man in order to check on his welfare. Any information, please phone 101."
