We revealed last month that married Clare, 46, set up a secret love nest with Tunisian conman Mohamed Bajjar, 27.

He had been posing as a Syrian to sneak into Britain.

Last year she boasted publicly of her charity’s zero-tolerance policy on sex with migrants, while shacking up with Bajjar.

It is the second time in a year Care4Calais has been monitored by the Commission.

Last year concerns were raised about how she was running the charity but no evidence of wrongdoing was found.

Clare’s accountant husband Ben has remained at the family home in Wirral, Merseyside, during her time in Calais.

Friends say the relationship between Care4Calais founder Clare and Bajjar was well-known among migrants and volunteers.

Bajjar was exposed by The Sun in 2015 after posing as a Syrian refugee and marrying a Brit in a bid to blag his way into the UK.

Clare dumped Bajjar fearing he had conned her out of thousands of pounds.

Clare set up Care4Calais in 2015, co-ordinating donations of clothing, food and tents to the Jungle. It soon gained charity status and was visited twice by The Voice judge will.i.am.
