AN escaped gangster has been spotted boarding a train with a mystery woman shortly after fleeing jail.
Notorious criminal Daniel Gee, 44, absconded from Kirklevington Prison, in Stockton, on May 27.
Gee, also known as "big Viking stomper”, was in the Category D open jail before he made a run for it nearly three weeks ago.
In an urgent hunt to find the crook, cops have released fresh CCTV images of Gee on a train platform.
On May 28, the day after he fled, Gee was snapped at James Cook University Hospital train station, in Cleveland.
A woman pushing a pram and wearing a distinctive leopard hat did not leave his side when a train headed to Middlesbrough pulled up around 1.27pm.

Police believe the unknown woman, who they desperately want to speak to, met Gee on the platform between 12pm and 1.30pm that day.
The duo then got off the first train before boarding a second to Darlington.
Once at Darlington, Gee boarded the 2.16pm train to Liverpool Lime Street while the woman left the station and made her way to the high street.
She was wearing a knee brace at the time.

It is currently not known which stop Gee proceeded to get off at, say Cleveland Police as they continue their search.
Neil Samworth, a former prison guard at Strangeways, said "authorities will catch up" with Gee.
He said: "Danny, if he got out, could turn his life around.
"Danny is a parole prisoner. So dependent on what happens is dependent on his future.
"It's very difficult to get on your toes and stay at large. Lots of people, criminals I knew, went to Spain and the like, living the life.
"The authorities catch up with you. And you can incriminate other people."
Brits were given an urgent warning not to approach Gee following his escape.
True crime podcaster Billy Moore branded him a “force to be reckoned with” as concern grew in rural North Yorkshire last week.
Mr Moore, who has faced his own battles with crime and drug addiction, pleaded for people not to underestimate Gee.
Gee, along with his brother Darren, became notorious for flooding Liverpool’s Grizedale estate with drugs.
