Canary Wharf tube station alert as passengers seen fleeing after person ‘falls from height’
CANARY Wharf tube station was put on alert - with dozens of passengers seen fleeing after a person "fell from a height".
A huge emergency response was at the scene in South East London just after 1pm this afternoon.
At least eight ambulances and police cars were spotted and a person was taken away on a stretcher.
An ambulance spokesperson confirmed there were reports of a person having "fallen from a height".
An X user posted: "Having a police officer scream 'get out as quick as you can, move' on the platforms of Canary Wharf is a scary experience."
A Transport for London alert said: "Part Closed - Jubilee line. Trains are not stopping on the westbound Jubilee line while we deal with a customer incident."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.50pm today (6 August) to reports of a person fallen from height at Canary Wharf Underground Station, Bank Street, E14.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Canary Wharf underground station at 1.07pm to reports of a medical incident.

London Fire Brigade confirmed it was not in attendance.
