Delta plane left mangled after colliding with another aircraft on Atlanta International Airport runway in shock accident
One passenger described the experience as 'terrifying' after being forced to de-board the plane
TWO planes collided on the runway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Tuesday, leaving both badly damaged and disfigured.

The Delta plane, an Airbus A350 heading for Tokyo, struck the tail of an Endeavor Air Bombardier CRJ900 headed to Lafayette, Louisiana, the FAA confirmed to The U.S. Sun.
No injuries have been reported.
"The FAA will investigate the incident, which occurred at the intersection of two taxiways" the agency said.
Delta Airlines told The U.S. Sun that customers will be transported back to the terminal and put on a different flight.
"There have been no reported injuries at this time and customers are being transported back to the terminal where they will be reaccommodated on alternate flights.
There were 221 customers on Delta flight DL295 and 56 customers on Endeavor flight DL5526, the FAA said.
Delta is cooperating with the National Transportation Safety Board and other authorities on this incident.

Passengers aboard the planes immediately began posting on X elaborating on the experience and how they were doing.

"Well that was terrifying," Jason Adams, meteorologist at ABC affiliate WFTS on X.
"Taxiing out for the flight from Atlanta to Louisiana and another plane appears to have clipped the back of our plane. Very jarring, metal scraping sounds then loud bangs.
"We’re fine. No fire or smoke. Awaiting @Delta instructions," he concluded.
Before posting about the collision, Adams told his followers he was off to Louisiana to help cover Hurricane Francine.
"Off to Louisiana to help our sister station cover #Francine. Hoping the storm stays on the weaker side for our friends there," he wrote.
Another passenger on the Louisiana flight shared that the plane was filled largely with journalists helping to cover the hurricane.
"Our flight was full of journalists on our way to our sister station in Lafayette, La., to help with hurricane coverage," he .
"We’re probably going to be late."
Two hours after his initial post, the passenger posted a video of the plane de-boarding and being escorted to a private lounge.

"@Delta put us on busses and has corralled us into a private room at Atlanta Hartsfield," he wrote.
In the video, passengers were advised to watch their steps as they walked down the stairs to a bus that took them back to the terminal.
