London terror attacker Khalid Masood is pictured in first police handout after photos emerge of him as football-mad schoolboy Adrian Ajao

THIS is the face of cold-blooded Westminster terrorist Khalid Masood.
Police released the first photograph of the killer, showing him staring unsmiling into the camera almost exactly 48 hours after he unleashed a horror attack on Westminster.
It is in stark contrast to photographs of the man in his youth, with a black and white photo giving a glimpse into the normal childhood of the terrorist who grew up in the leafy county of Kent.
A football-mad youngster, he was born as Adrian R Elms to 17-year-old Janet, taking on the last name of his step-father Phillip.
One of the images, which captions his name as Adrian Ajao, was taken when Masood was at Huntleys Secondary School for Boys in Tunbridge Wells, with another shows him smiling among rugby teammates.
Police have now issued a desperate plea for more information about the killer, saying that while there were no further threats to the public, authorities wanted to determine if he had acted "totally alone" or had been encouraged by others.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Mark Rowley said the man had been known by several names, including Adrian Elms and Adrian Russell Ajao.
He said: "We remain keen to hear from anyone who knew Khalid Masood well; understands who his associates were; and can provide us with information about places he has recently visited."
He said that a total of 11 people had now been arrested as part of their anti-terror investigations, with searches of two Birmingham homes and one in East London still ongoing.
It comes as more revelations around the terrorist's upbringing has been revealed with school friend Kenton Till, who was also in the photo, telling the Masood suffered racism for being the only non-white boy at their school and they later fell out after he smoked drugs.
Mr Till said: “He wasn’t religious at all. He was a big character, very friendly and a good laugh. He might have been the only black kid at the school. He experienced a little bit of racism but not a lot because he always tried to be popular.
“We used to socialise together up until we left school but he turned up to a party at my house with some friends after they had been smoking puff [cannabis] and my mum threw them all out. We sort of lost touch after that.”
During his childhood, he grew up with his family in a £300,000 house in the seaside town of Rye, East Sussex before moving to Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where they lived with Masood’s half-brothers, Alex and Paul.
But the young man, who was born on Christmas Day, later changed his name to Khalid Masood - even becoming known as "the vampire" for wearing black as he stalked the streets at night.
Neighbours said they gave him the name as he would only come out at night while wearing black.
He went on to become an English teacher but had a rap sheet which included stabbing a man in the face in a 2003 row plus assaults, criminal damage and public order offences.
The killer is said to have blamed racism for slashing a cafe owner across the face in 2003 before he was jailed, and the converted to Islam.
He told Hove Crown Court he has snapped after being “ostracised” by villagers who had a certain "view of black people" in Northiam, East Sussex, where he lived with his first wife and children.
