BUCKLE up - Europe's fastest and tallest rollercoaster has just opened in Spain - to the delight of adrenaline junkies.
The terrifying white-knuckle ride, over 112 metres tall and 110mph fast, is the main attraction at Ferrari Land theme park which opens today.

1,500 thrill-seekers attended the grand opening of the park, which is the third to open at PortAventura World Parks & Resort, around an hour from Barcelona.
The impressive new park pays homage to the glamour, speed and excitement of the Italian brand and its iconic red cars.

And those brave enough to go on vertical rollercoaster Red Force are promised the same sensations felt by Formula 1 drivers as they hit speeds of 112mph in just five seconds, the equivalent of a thumping 1.35G.
Arturo Mas-Sardá and Piero Ferrari set the park’s wheels in motion at the opening ceremony, joined by Ferrari test driver Marc Gené.
Spanning over 70,000 square metres, the new park has attractions for the whole family inspired by technology and adrenaline.

There are also restaurants, shops and shows aimed at reflecting the spirit of Ferrari.
The spectacular Ferrari Experience building looms over the park, its silhouette in the shape of the legendary Ferrari racing car.

Other attractions include Racing Legends, a simulator which allows visitors to drive a Ferrari through the streets of Rome, along famous racing circuits or through imaginary futuristic scenes.
Flying Dreams sends visitors on a journey around the world and through time, allowing them to see the brand’s most famous vehicles and drivers up close.
Ferrari Experience also includes the Ferrari Gallery, an impressive space where visitors can enjoy an interactive experience and learn details of the history of the legendary Ferrari team.
Crowning the skyline of the park is Red Force, the highest and fastest rollercoaster in Europe.
The stomach-churning ride will blast visitor from 0 to 112 mph in FIVE seconds, and bring them to the terrifying height of 112 metres.

Eight semi-professional simulators - similar to the ones used by Formula 1 drivers in training - make up Pole Position Challenge where visitors can put their driving skills to the test.
Other rides include the Maranello Grand Race racetrack, where fans can race on a 500-metre track in authentic Italian GT race cars to recreate the excitement of driving a legendary Ferrari 488 Spider.

Next to the track are the Thrill Towers, a ride which look like giant pistons from a Formula 1 car.
And for young motor fans there is the Junior Championship, which gives kids the chance to experience the thrill of skidding along Formula 1’s traditional “whip” in a small-scale replica of the real vehicles.

And for real Formula 1 geeks there is even a ride where teams can compete to change the wheels on a full-size racing car the fastest.
The resort also has three theme parks, five themed hotels, a convention centre, three golf courses and a beach club with direct access to the beach.
