LABOUR has sunk to its joint-lowest ever rating in opposition as Jeremy Corbyn’s party falls a whopping 21 points behind Theresa May.

The YouGov survey for puts Mr Corbyn’s party on its lowest figure with the pollster since 2009, while the Conservatives are riding high on 44%.

And it is the second poll in the past few days which has seen the gap to Mrs May stretch to more than 20 points.

A survey for ComRes at the weekend put the Tories on 46%, while Labour languished on just 25% - the biggest lead for a Government in 30 years.

There was better news elsewhere for Mr Corbyn though - with a separate poll bringing the gap between the his party and the Conservatives down to single figures.

The figures by Opinium in the Observer put Mrs May’s party on 38% while the opposition are on 29%.

But it is small comfort for the veteran leftie, as even if those figures correctly reflect the nation’s mood then an election would see Labour obliterated.

And the same poll revealed less than half of Labour voters believe Mr Corbyn would make a better Prime Minister than Theresa May.

Just 45% of the party's supporters back their leader in a in a two-way contest with Mrs May, while among all voters just 14% said they would choose him to be in No10.

It comes as The Sun reveals Mr Corbyn has reported one of his own MPs to the party for harassment after he questioned Labour’s woeful media performance.

His office reported Neil Coyle to the Chief Whip for disciplinary action after he sent a formal email questioning his leadership.

Leaked emails show after the Bermondsey and Southwark MP asked why colleagues had not been given a Brexit briefing last month his correspondence was described as “vicious” and an “unjustified attack” by Mr Corbyn’s office manager Karie Murphy.
