Girl, 4, fighting for life after being struck by car on busy Glasgow street

A GIRL is fighting for life after being struck by a car on a busy Glasgow street.
Fire crews and paramedics were scrambled to Tantallon Road in Shawlands following reports of the crash just after 9am today.
The four-year-old was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children where staff describe her condition as critical.
The female driver of the BMW X1 did not require medical treatment.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the smash to get in touch.
Sergeant Ally Wright said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“I’m also keen to speak to any drivers who were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage which has captured something of significance.”
Several streets have been taped off as officers carry out enquiries.
Tantallon Road is currently closed at Woodford Street and Langside Avenue.
