LIVERPOOL FC starlet Lloyd Jones was arrested for an alleged assault at nightclub, it was reported today.
The 21-year-old defender — on loan at Swindon Town — was held by cops in Cheltenham after the early-hours bust-up last month.
Hours before the incident Swindon had lost away at Port Vale on their way to relegation from League One — although Jones did not play in that game.
He was arrested on suspicion of assault at the club and released on bail until today, .
Gloucestershire police said: "We received a report at about 2.30am on Sunday March 12 of an assault at a nightclub in Regent St, Cheltenham.
"A 21-year-old man from the Plymouth area was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was bailed until April 28, 2017."

Jones moved to Liverpool on a £150,000 transfer from Plymouth Argyle in 2011 and has captained the Under 21s.
He has spent time out on loan at Cheltenham, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool.
Last summer Jones signed a new contract at Anfield before going on loan to Swindon at the start of the season.
He has made 29 appearances for The Robins but has not played since late February.
Liverpool FC is said to be aware of the allegation.
