The gunman was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound, Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz confirmed on Thursday.

Three people, including the shooter, were transported to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital for treatment after the shooting.

The conditions of the injured people are unclear.

Initial reports after the shooting indicated the suspect was killed, but cops didn't confirm any deaths.

Witnesses said the shooter was using a rifle and wearing a face mask when he entered the building.

Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office officers rushed to the scene shortly after.

Video captured tense moments as deputies moved in with shields raised and weapons drawn, approaching a warehouse unit.

Graphic footage from the scene showed a person lying motionless on the floor inside the car repair shop.

Video also showed cops swarming around the warehouse, which was covered in broken glass.

A gun could be seen lying on the floor of the shop.

Special response team swept through the complex, clearing buildings and guiding people to safety.

Witness Taryn Leighton said she was returning from lunch when law enforcement vehicles began speeding past her.

"I pulled over, thinking it was just an accident," she told NBC affiliate .

"Then I saw officers suiting up with tactical gear and armor, so I quickly parked across the street."

Another witness described seeing the shooter draw both a handgun and a rifle before opening fire on an officer.

The witness then fled into a nearby warehouse for safety.

SWAT officers were also seen inspecting vehicles parked outside.
