Mystery as woman’s body found in outdoor pool with cops treating death as ‘unexplained’

MYSTERY surrounds the body of a woman found in an outdoor pool this morning - with police treating her death as "unexplained"
Police raced to Bilston, Birmingham after the tragic discovery at around 9am.
Efforts were made to save the woman but she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
The woman's death is being treated as unexplained with cops launching enquiries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "The body of a woman was found in a pool off Prouds Lane, Bilston, at around 9am.
"We attended along with the fire service and paramedics but the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained as we continue enquiries to establish what has happened.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two vehicles and a hazardous area response team to the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident at the junction of Moseley Road and Prouds Lane in Bilston at 9.03am and sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, our Hazardous Area Response Team and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found a woman in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support.
"Sadly, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene."
